September Update New Holiday Disney
Big Figs on the way--

With the Holidays quickly approaching lets look at last years Disney Holiday Bigs Figs and see what is to come for this year.

Last year they did the final piece 4th piece in Fab Five Disney Halloween Big Figs Donald and Daisy as Jafar anf the Evil Queen it sold out quickly and is very hard to find. This was a GREAT set all four piece where very nice.

They also released in 2008 Halloween Pumpkin Mickey and Minnie Disney Big Fig this is a rather cute unusal piece I like it.

This Santa Mickey Disney Big Fig  was released in 2008 this is one of the best Santa Mickeys I have seen  for Mickey fans.

There is also a new Holiday Mickey and Minnie Sleigh is coming out for Christmas

August Disney Big Fig Up-Date 2009

Hello everyone its been awhile so I thought I would update a little on the Disney Big Figs. I know a lot of you where interested in the last set of Disney Star Wars Big Figs this year . It seems that all went well with them on the exception of Princess Leia as a slave. There was some problems that arose so she was pulled from being sold. This will cause a demand for this piece since only a few where sold before they where pulled. There are some for sale in the secondary market on Ebay of course. This one will prove to be hard to get and valuable in the years to as the last set of Disney Star Wars Big Figs. Princess Leis as a Slave and Mickey from the last set of Star Wars Big Figs pictured below.



I am hoping the rumors are true that there will be a new series of Disney Big Figs Character related coming out next year I even heard some rumors maybe Wizard of Oz.


Right now there are great ones coming to the Parks I think the Disney Big Fig of Mickey as Indiana Jones will be a Big seller due late this year. The list is above.  I know from all the info in my book over 10 years of Disney Big Figs and the many themes and great ones that the interest is not gone nor have all the characters been represented and the larger the more to love seems to be the favorite for collectors.

Lets talk Disney Big Figs ------

I have noticed I get a lot of emails looking for the older Disney Big Figs. I also get a lot of comments that the newer ones are really not  as Big  as the ones before them. And that since they are so much smaller now its not the same. But but the change was made based on the thought  that the size was a probelm. But I think that the collectors now have decided that the larger ones where what they enjoyed the most. So hopefully in the future we will see them return to the size they where. The life sized Disney Big Figs have sold very well neither the size or the cost seemed to be a factor. The trend lately has been mainly Mickey amd Minnie themed Big Figs and I think there are many characters they have not done that collectors would like to see. The economy of course is a factor but I have not met a Disney Big Fig Collector yet that would turn away from one the really where looking for. Some that people have emailed about are Sulley, Lightning from Cars and Woody since a lot of parents enjoy these themes in their childrens rooms.  As far as us grown ups it is a mixed bag of nominations for new Disney Big Figs everything from a favorite with many Mufusa from Lion King coming in next Mulan with Mushu next something from Aladdin like  Jasmine or maybe Jafar the villians are always popular. And maybe bring back some that have been done that you can not find!!!! In a new pose like Alice many requests for her and more life sized Big Figs one a year  would be nice. So I guess to sum it up still very popular but either ones that are long gone or characters that have not been done yet. Most collectors seem to collect characters from a series and have characters to compliment the ones they have.  So here is to some new characters ,so old ones re-introduced and hope Disney hears that we still love the Disney Big Figs !!!!!!!
